Lando Norris finished fourth and cut the gap to 59 points from Max Verstappen, who finished fifth in a Red Bull car that is experiencing major problems and is already not so sure of winning the title with 7 races remaining from the end of the season.

TechnologyHuawei has officially introduced the world’s first phone with two folding mechanisms and three screens, a device that is as expensive as expected. Prices in China for the Mate XT Ultimate Design model start at 19,999 yuan (about $2,809) for the 256GB version, which is about $300 more than a new 16-inch MacBook Pro. This model is part of Huawei’s “Ultimate Design” line, which is known for luxurious and innovative products.
The Mate XT has a dual Z-fold design that allows for use in a variety of formats. The OLED screen is 6.4 inches when closed like a traditional device, while when fully opened, it expands to 10.2 inches offering a tablet-like experience. The device can also be used in a smaller 7.9-inch configuration when not fully opened.
The phone has a 5,600mAh battery and supports 66W wired and 50W wireless charging. There’s also a triple camera system on the back, including a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 12-megapixel periscope camera. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel camera positioned on the left display when the device is fully open.
The phone was first launched in China and the price starts at 19,999 yuan (about $2,809) for the model with 256GB of internal memory, making it more expensive than a 16-inch MacBook Pro. Also, higher-capacity models are available for 21,999 yuan (about $3,089) for 512GB and 23,999 yuan (about $3,370) for 1TB.
Due to the high price and new innovation, the Mate XT is expected to be a strong competitor in the market, especially with other foldable phones such as the Galaxy Z Fold series from Samsung. Also, other brands like Xiaomi and Oppo are developing similar versions of phones with three foldable screens.
At the moment, there is no clear information about the Mate XT’s availability outside of China, but it is expected that Huawei will provide more details soon for interested buyers outside of China.

Culture TravelGreece’s move against mass tourism and the increasing flow of cruise ships that dock at its shores will be finalized with the imposition of a €20 tax, which will initially apply only to the two islands, Mykonos and Santorini.
The plan to impose the tax was announced by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis himself at the 88th edition of the Thessaloniki International Fair, but it remains unclear when it will come into effect.
“Greece does not have a structural problem of overtourism. It has a problem concentrated in some destinations and in some weeks or months of the year. Cruises put pressure on Mykonos and Santorini and therefore the price will be 20 euros,” explained the head of the government of Athens in a press conference,Mitsotakis did not specify when the new tax would take effect, but expressed concern about the influx of cruise ships.
“Equally important is the intervention for the number of ships arriving at their destination at the same time. We will be quite bold at this point”, stressed the Greek Prime Minister, also recalling the “sustainability rules” regarding the new infrastructure.
In 2023, about 800 cruise ships carrying 1.3 million passengers landed on the island of Santorini, home to just 15,500 people, according to the Greek Ports Association.
Of the record 32.7 million tourists who visited Greece last year, around 3.4 million, or one in ten visitors, went to the island of Santorini.
Because of this unprecedented influx, the government now intends to crack down on the number of ships arriving at their destination at the same time, deeming it necessary to put the brakes on islands where the limits of infrastructure are being tested.

Sports USAJannik Sinner writes another page in the history of Italian tennis: the world number 1 won the US Open (the first Italian male tennis player to do so), defeating the American Taylor Fritz in the final in 3 sets (6-3, 6-4 and 7-5).
This is the second career Grand Slam trophy for Sinner, after success at the Australian Open earlier in the year. Sinner always had the match under control and won the major American tournament taking advantage of the early eliminations of Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic,
The world number 1 also confirmed to Fritz his great mental toughness and ability to win the most important points, which is the difference between a champion and a good player.
Jannik realizes the American dream in this epic year for him, while the United States of America still has to wait for the heir to Andy Roddick, the last American to win on home soil in 2003.

Culture LifeStyle PoliticsThe President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, has announced that the Christmas celebrations in his country will start in October.
“It’s September and already there’s a Christmas atmosphere. And that is why this year, as a sign of gratitude to you, I will decree an early Christmas from October 1,” the Venezuelan president said on his television program, shortly after the Prosecutor’s Office ordered the arrest of opposition candidate Edmundo González. charged with terrorism-related crimes.
It is not the first time that the Venezuelan President celebrates Christmas earlier in Venezuela. And in 2020, the celebrations started on October 15, as a distraction maneuver in the face of the serious problems the country was going through during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Maduro wanted to recall what happened last Friday, August 30, when a massive power outage affected about 80% of Venezuela’s territory. The authorities attributed the collapse of the electricity system to their political opponents. However, the President declared: “People continued to work and with the support of the working class, in a perfect civil-military-police cooperation, we guaranteed absolute peace.”
After that, Maduro added: “Christmas starts on October 1st. To all, Christmas has come, with peace, happiness and security.” It is expected that the government, as it usually does during the weeks before the end of the year holidays, will intensify the distribution of aid and bags of food in the neighborhoods.

TechnologyCyber security experts have discovered a mobile spy app that targets Android smartphones.
The latest mobile spy software discovery, dubbed LianSpy, targets Android smartphones in Russia.
However, unconventional methods of tracking user data can also be applied in other regions, which means that all Android users should be on the lookout.
LianSpy was discovered in March 2024, and has been active for a long time, operating in the shadows for at least three years, writes The Sun.
Unlike other spyware, LianSpy requires the user to take certain actions in order to fully launch and integrate into the user’s phone.
Upon launch, the malware checks if it has the necessary “permissions” to use overlays, read contacts and access call logs.
If there is none, the spyware will “ask” for permission from the user, masquerading as a system application and a financial services application to achieve this.
LianSpy isn’t going away anytime soon, given that hackers are becoming more sophisticated as technology evolves.
However, there are some key steps that users, especially Android phone owners, can take to protect themselves from spyware.
Downloading apps only from official stores and catalogs is a good start, but spyware still manages to infiltrate even those.
A general rule to follow is to only download the apps you need and make sure you download apps from trusted sources, such as legitimate companies or brands.

Sports USAThe US Open tournament continues to bring surprises. After the elimination of Carsso Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic was also eliminated in the third round by the Australian Aleksei Popirin.
The Serbian tennis player was in the race to win the Grand Slam for the 25th time, but stopped at the deep defeat. The start of the match was not good for him.
In the first two sets, he was defeated 6-4, but trying to come back in the third, winning 2 to 6. The fourth set went again for the Australian, thus ending the match with victory.
“Obviously he played better and deserved to win. I mean, the way I felt and the way I played from the start of this tournament, the third round is a success. This was one of my worst matches ever. I made a lot of mistakes. With such a performance you can’t win, especially when it comes to strong rivals like Aleksei. I admit, it was a terrible match for me,” said Djokovic.
This is the first time since 2017 that Serbia ends the year without a trophy.
A challenge to remember for Popiri, who continues the race at the US Open. He says that in his career he has only passed the third round 15 times, while describing it as a unique feeling, he gets ready to continue the challenge.
