UEFA has taken this Monday a historic decision, choosing to apply a fixed fee for the tickets of the friendly sector in European competitions.
European football’s governing body has decided to lower the maximum ticket price for away fans in men’s club competitions and maintain a standard price for all challenges and stadiums.
“Today, UEFA announced a reduction in the maximum ticket price that home clubs can charge visiting fans for three men’s club competitions, a decision that reaffirms UEFA’s commitment to making European football more accessible and affordable by everyone”, announces UEFA.
The new decision will come into effect from the 2024/25 season, with the maximum ticket price for away fans set to be €60 in the Champions League, €40 in the Europa League and €20 in the Conference League.
