Carlos Alcaraz upset Jannik Sinner in the semifinals of Indian Wells.
The Spaniard won with the numbers 2-1, as he lost the first set with the result 6-1.
It looked like it was going to be a bad day for the tennis player from Murcia, however Alcaraz managed to get back into the game and in the second set leveled the overall result thanks to a 6-3 triumph.
In the final set, the 20-year-old dominated again and closed it with 6-2, causing Sinner his first defeat this year.
Thanks to this success, Alcaraz managed to maintain the second place in the world classification, a place that was threatened by Sinner.
In the Indian Wells final, broadcast on SuperSport on Sunday at 22:00, Alcaraz will face Russia’s Daniil Medvedev, who in turn defeated local tennis player Tommy Paul 2-1.
