Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc have been disqualified from the race held at the Austin circuit, a few hours after the end of the Formula 1 American Grand Prix.

The news was made known by Formula 1 itself, which has announced that the two pilots’ points have been deducted after the race, due to the irregularities that the race commissioner has recorded in their cars, in the lower part

The British driver was ranked second in the race, while Leclerc was classified in sixth place, however both of these drivers have lost their positions and all the points gained in this race.

After the winner Max Verstappen is ranked Lando Norris with McLaren, who finished the race in third place, while Carlos Sainz also climbs the podium.

The race commissioner has documented that the lower part of the car, which makes contact with the track, was thicker than normal, which constitutes a violation of the regulations and consequently both pilots have been excluded from the American Grand Prix race.
