In the Betis-Athletic match (3-1), played at “Benito Villamarín”, great fear was experienced on the green field. It was the 13th minute of the game, the moment in which Chimy Ávila scored (1-0) his first goal in the shirt of Betis.
Unfortunately, however, all the attention went to Guadalupe Porras, the side referee, who suffered a serious blow from the collision with the cameraman who was filming. Bloody-faced and somewhat dazed, she was unable to continue the trial. He had to be evacuated on a stretcher and then an ambulance to receive medical care at the hospital.
The moment in which the extraordinary blow occurred between the cameraman and Guadalupe Porras was captured from the stands and became “viral” on social networks. The fact that the cameras are so close to the pitch is something that has already caused discussion on more than one occasion.
This kind of collision was something that was bound to happen sooner or later. The head of Spanish referees, Iturralde, sent a message to La Liga, which he blamed for what happened: “They put the cameras in the dressing rooms, wherever they want… Very good, I think they are where they should be, but there are rules on the football field. And the first one that doesn’t respect them is La Liga itself.”
In social networks, the opinion is unanimous, most X users believe that one day we will have moments of even greater fear. One of the users wrote: “I have a lifelong hatred of modern football, which wants to include everything, even to know the brand of underwear of the footballers. Then what happened with the referee Guadalupe Porras.”
