In the final of the World Cup for clubs that was played this evening in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Manchester City defeated the Brazilians of Fluminense with a poker of goals.
Pep Guardiola’s men scored four times, opening the scoring after just 40 seconds, with Julian Alvarez heading the ball into the net.
Then in the 27th minute an own goal from Nino doubled City’s lead after Phil Foden’s effort to score was deflected.
The English star who graduated from the “Citizens” academy found his goal in the second half, bringing the result of the challenge to 3-0.
The fourth goal of the challenge was scored again by Julian Alvarez, making City win their fifth trophy for 2023.
