Without Ronaldo on the pitch, Portugal’s attack turned into a goal machine in their sixth group game against Luxembourg as they thrashed them 9-0.

The Lusitanians scored 4 goals in the first half, two by Inacio and two by Ramos, but the Portuguese offensive did not stop even in the second 45 minutes, where they scored 5 more times. Liverpool striker Diego Jota scored twice, while Horta, Ferndandes and Felix also scored.

Although Luxembourg was a team that had accumulated 10 points in the first 5 games in these qualifiers, Portugal completely destroyed them. Even before the game was over, the opposing coach left the locker room, abandoning his team.

This was the 6th victory in as many matches for Portugal, which is already qualified for the European Championship, although mathematically it has not yet secured it.
