“Michael Schumacher is a hopeless case.” This is what his close friend Roger Benoit has said, who has spoken about the condition of the 7-time F1 champion, who suffered a serious skiing accident in 2013 and continues treatment at home, away from the public eye, for more than a decade.
After crashing and hitting his head on a rock, Schumacher spent 250 days in an induced coma in hospital before returning home. News about his condition is very rare and very few people are allowed to visit him.
In an interview for the Swiss newspaper “Blick”, the journalist Benoit said that there is no hope that we can see the German champion again one day.
“His son, Mick, said in a 2022 interview that he would give anything to speak to his father again. This sentence tells everything about the current state of Michael Schumacher, how he spent these 3500 days. It is a hopeless case”.
