Revenge is not late! Djokovic defeats Alcaraz at Cincinnati Open
It is said that revenge is a dish that is served cold, but Novak Djokovic did not take long to return the rest to Carlos Alcaraz. Djokovic managed to defeat the Spaniard in an exciting encounter that lasted for about 4 hours, winning the “Cincinnati Open”.
The decisive moment came in the final set when his Spanish rival began to have hand cramps and could barely hold the racket. In the end, Djokovic triumphed in the heat to win after three hours and 49 minutes.
Despondent, Alcaraz threw the towel on his head as he wiped away his tears.

This match was very close, but I learned a lot from a champion like you, so congratulations”, said Alcaraz at the end of the match.
Although he lost, Djokovic praised Alcaraz.
“Boy, you never give up, man. Jesus Christ,” Djokovic said of Alcaraz.
Both players will be in action next week at the US Open, where Alcaraz will try to defend his title, while Djokovic, for a 24th Grand Slam victory. The tour was the first in two years for the Serb who was barred from entering the US after refusing to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
