“Everything Everywhere All at Once” seems to pave the sure way to triumph at the Oscars, after grabbing 4 more awards at the most prestigious award ceremony of the American screen, the SAG awards. The Multiversity adventure won Best Picture at the ceremony in Los Angeles, while the film’s stars were also honored with awards. Michelle Yeoh was awarded the best actress award, beating her main rival, Cate Blanchett.
“This award is not just for me, but for every little girl who looks like me,” Yeoh said in her speech.
The film’s other star, Ke Huy Quan, became the first Asian actor to win an award for Best Actor, Non-Leader, while Best Actress, for a non-lead role, went to Jamie Lee Curtis. These awards are considered very important before the evening of March 12, when in Los Angelos, world stars will gather for the Oscar awards ceremony.
And the 4 SAG awards for “Everything Everywhere All at Once” seem to be the signal that the film by directors Daniel Kean and Daniel Scheinert, with a production budget of 25 million dollars, will triumph this year. At the SAG awards, Brendan Fraser was announced as the best male actor for his role in the movie “The Whale”.
The winners of the SAG Awards are voted among themselves, so the actors are voted by their fellow actors.
