Coincidence or irony? Sushi at the premiere of the movie “The Little Mermaid”
The food that was served at the premiere of the movie “The Little Mermaid” has received a lot of criticism.
The special guests were all surprised when the sushi was served.
This film follows the same story as the 1989 animated original. Ariel is a young mermaid who has many sea creature friends, such as Flounder fish and Sebastian the crab.
While the film features peaceful and sociable sea creatures, sushi was expected to be eaten during the film. But at an EUA premiere, that’s exactly what happened. And people were shocked.
A TikTok follower shared a video inside the movie theater and wrote alongside it: Giving us sushi at the premiere of The Little Mermaid is dark.
Some of the comments that followed were “RIP Flounder”, “looks like I’m eating Ariel’s friends”. Whether it was a PR move or just a bad coincidence is unknown.
