A tech company in China has come up with a rather strange way to send a long-distance kiss to your lover.
If you love to kiss your partner, but are too far apart to touch lips, this phone attachment – which is equipped with warm, removable silicone “lips” – should be added to your cart immediately.
The kissing device – called Remote Kiss – is marketed and sold to long-distance lovers through China’s online shopping website Taobao.
The Global Times, China’s state-run newspaper, has reported that the invention has been patented by the Changzhou Professional Institute of Mechatronic Technology.
Jiang Zhongli, the main inventor of the design, said that he was in a long-distance relationship and this led to the invention of the Distance Kiss.
“At my university, I was in a long-distance relationship with my girlfriend, so we only had contact with each other over the phone. That’s where the inspiration for this device was born,” explained Zhongli.
The device comes with pressure sensors and actuators to mimic a real, smooth kiss by replicating the pressure, movement and temperature of actual human lips.
