SportsIn the last few hours, numerous Greek media published the news that the Albanian Football Federation has accepted the request of the Greek Federation that the final of the Greek Football Cup be held in Tirana on May 24.
This development is said to have come after the new refusal of the Cypriot Police, and the Greek side has started looking for stadiums in neighboring Balkan countries, such as Serbia and Romania, and even Turkey. But Istanbul and Belgrade seem to have been removed from the list and more chances are given to Bucharest and Tirana.
Even according to published information, the first positive response to the Greek federation came from the Albanian federation, which is said to have expressed positively about the possibility that the match that will decide the trophy between AEK and PAOK will take place on May 24 in Tirana’s new stadium “Air Albania Stadium”), which has a capacity of 22 thousand spectators and hosted the final of the League Conference between Rome and Feyenoord last year.
The executive committee of the Greek Federation scheduled to discuss the issue of the final of the Greek Cup today was postponed to tomorrow (8/5), which leaves everything open in terms of the venue.

The “Citizens” still haven’t chewed over that disastrous elimination from a year ago, when the Spaniards at the same stage eliminated them with a 3-1 upset just 2 minutes before the end of the meeting, so Pep Guardiola’s team is looking for revenge.
In the conference on the eve of the challenge, the Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, emphasized that it will be a difficult match, but the one who makes the least mistakes will win.
“We have our schemes and we can win. City is a more complete team. Last year they had a very dangerous striker like Gabriel Jesus, but very different from Haaland. Now they benefit from long balls. This does not mean that they have changed their style. They are very well organized in defense and play well with the ball. If you defend well, the worst result is a draw. That doesn’t mean we won’t attack. Let’s not forget that last year against City we conceded 5 goals and scored 6 in two games,” declared Ancelotti.
While Pep Guardiola said that they are not traveling to Madrid to take revenge, but want the final and ultimately the trophy: “We are not here for revenge. It’s another possibility. One day we will get the cup. We will go to the final and win it. It didn’t happen last season, as we played Real Madrid and in this competition they know exactly what they have to do. Seven years ago we wanted to win the Champions League. Last season it was like the end of the world, but here we are again. Being consistent is the most important thing. The important thing is that we are trying to improve every year.”

SportsThe Denver Nuggets-Phoenix Suns game produced a rare scene in American basketball that involved a Serbian player, a team owner and a famous former basketball player.
In the second period, one of the Suns players ended up in the spectators trying to catch the ball that was going out of bounds. The ball ended up in the hands of a spectator in the first row.
That’s when Serbian Nikola Jokic, of the Denver Nuggets, decided he was the one to get the ball. He tried to force it out of the hands of the fan, who happened to be Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia himself.
After taking it by force, he also elbowed the owner. At that moment, one of the legends of the NBA, Isaiah Thomas, intervened, who grabbed the Serbian basketball player by the shirt. From all this, Nikola Jokic escaped only with a technical foul.

TechnologyUS Democrats and Republicans agree on the negative effects of social media on minors.
They have introduced a bipartisan bill in the US Senate, the “Children’s Social Media Protection Act”.
The measure will stipulate that children under 13 are banned from social media and those between 13 and 17 need parental consent to create an account.
According to the lawmakers who proposed the law, social media is responsible for worsening the mental health crisis in the country and has also contributed to the increase in suicidal behavior among children and young people.
The move comes as Congress seeks to make social media platforms safer for children. Among the hypotheses is the ban on TikTok.
In fact, under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, known as Coppa, social media companies already prohibit children under the age of 13 from using their platforms, but the law is often flouted.

Breaking News What's HotDuring the official ceremony for the coronation of the new king of Great Britain, Charles III, an incident still unexplained occurred.
At the entrance to the hall, a hooded black figure appeared with what appeared to be a club in his hands. This was spotted by a Twitter user with the nickname Realjoegreeeen.
He described the mysterious figure as a ghost with a scythe in hand, but in the comments of the video (which quickly gained over a million views), users showed a higher flight of fantasy.
For example, a figure dressed in black was called “the ghost of Princess Diana” or noted that her procession resembled a scene from the horror film “The Exorcist 3”.
No official explanation has been given for what happened, according to the Daily Mail, which covered the story.

BusinessCitizens and subscribers of ONE Albania have been complaining continuously for months about the service offered by this mobile company, the lack of telephone and internet service and the abusive tariffs it has set after the merger with the other operator Albtelekom.
However, it seems that these complaints have fallen on deaf ears and no one is reacting. Or more precisely, the Albanian institutions have “closed their mouths” for the mobile company that promised innovation with the new entry into the market, but has been putting subscribers in a big mess for months.
Young investors moved away from western systems and opted for an Indian operating system, which could not handle the load, being inexperienced and for third world countries, thus leaving thousands of citizens across the country without service. After more than two months, it was decided that the so-called unification with Albtelekom should be done manually by the users themselves.
Here, too, ONE Albania deceived its own citizens and subscribers, promising better, more economical offers and better quality service.
But what happened? The offers of this mobile company obviously became more expensive than they were before, even more than the other company whose shares it bought, Albtelekom. Citizens constantly complain and have requested the intervention of institutions, such as AKEP, due to abusive tariffs. Well-known media voices have joined these concerns, but so far without results.
Newsbomb.al has devoted several articles to this problem and the complaints of citizens and subscribers of ONE Albania, hoping for a reaction from the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority and the Competition Authority, but it seems that they have “shut their mouths”.
The citizens’ concerns that we have written about are easily found on the official account of One Albania on Facebook. As soon as the company makes an announcement or advertises “quality” service, it receives hundreds of criticisms about the service and payments. But Facebook is not like the Albanian institutions, as there the subscribers bluntly express their concerns.
The mobile company tries from time to time to delete the comments of citizens and subscribers. Today we have caught some of them, in a new post that One Albania has made on the Facebook account, still not “destroyed” by the team dealing with the marketing of the mobile company, writes Newsbomb.

TechnologyThe European Union has warned Apple that if it will limit the functionality of the USB-C charging port, it may ban the sale of devices en masse, writes TechoNews.
Last year, the EU passed a law that will require iPhones and many other cable-charging devices to be equipped with a USB-C port before they can be sold. Apple has until December 28, 2024 to comply with the law, but the switch from Lightning to USB-C is expected to happen with the iPhone 15 models later this year.
In February, reports emerged that Apple may be planning to limit the charging speed and other functionality of USB-C cables that are not certified under the Made for iPhone program.
In response to the speculation, European Commissioner Thierry Breton sent Apple a letter warning the company that limiting the functionality of USB-C cables will not be allowed and will prevent iPhone sales in the EU when the law takes effect, according to the statement. The letter was obtained by German news agency DPA, and the report says the EU warned Apple during a meeting in mid-March.
Given that it has until the end of 2024 to comply with the law, Apple may still go ahead with including a chip in the USB-C port in iPhone 15 models later this year. And with iPhone 16 models expected to launch in September 2024, those devices will also be on the market before the law takes effect. However, there have only been media reports about Apple limiting the functionality of the USB-C charger port. The company has not yet reacted.

TechnologyGoogle has unveiled an important update that signals the “end of the day” for using passwords to access Gmail accounts.
The search engine giant has begun rolling out “key” technology that will allow billions of users to log into websites and apps the same way they unlock a device, with fingerprints, face scans or a PIN that can verify their identity.
It is expected that this new way of logging in will eventually replace passwords, although it may take some time before this happens, as the technology being used is still in its early stages.
Experts say that this new technology will give people the opportunity to use passwords as little as possible across different devices.
This will also prevent the need to log into accounts on each new device using passwords that are easily cracked.
This technology is used in iOS16 for Apple devices and the latest versions of MacOS, while Microsoft uses it as a method through an authentication application.

Sports20-year-old Emma Raducanu recently withdrew her name from the Madrid Open. It came on the back of one of the most bizarre press conferences in the British star’s fledgling career. She used a limited number of words to express herself during the interview. Eventually, it became pretty clear that Raducanu was reeling from the effects of her niggling wrist injury.
The good news is that Raducanu has finally undergone wrist surgery. Unfortunately, though, she will have to sit out this year’s French Open and Wimbledon. The No.1 British women’s tennis player released an official statement on Instagram that revealed her situation.
For a professional athlete, it’s a nightmare to be sitting on the sidelines and watching their rivals compete. It was a similar situation for Emma Raducanu, who thought playing through pain would be better than dealing with the disappointment of missing out on tournaments. In the end, however, she had to listen to her body after her sudden withdrawal from the Madrid Open.
In her official Instagram statement, she stated, “It is safe to say the last 10 months have been difficult as I dealt with a recurring injury on a bone of both hands.” She went on to write, “I tried my best to manage the pain and play through it for most of this year and end of last year by reducing practice load dramatically, missing weeks of training as well as cutting last season short to try [to] heal it. Unfortunately it’s not enough.”
Raducanu continued, “I’m having a minor procedure done on both hands to resolve the issues. I’m disappointed to share that I will be out for the next few months and while I am at it will have another minor procedure that is due on my ankle”. She concluded the post, saying, “It pains me that I will miss the summer events and I tried to downplay the issues so I thank all my fans who continued to support me when you did not know the facts. Looking forward to seeing you all back out there.”
Raducanu’s WTA Tour ranking skyrocketed following her US Open win back in 2021. However, since then, Raducanu’s form has been on and off, leading to critics writing her US Open win off as a fluke. Even before she revealed her surgery news, she had slipped out of the top 100.
Now that she has officially announced that she will be missing both the 2023 French Open and Wimbledon Championships, things don’t look too good for Raducanu on the ranking front. However, in the long run, tennis fans should be hopeful of seeing the very best of Raducanu once again following her rehabilitation and recovery.
