The new format, which would replace the Champions League, would however only start in 2027.

The Europa League and Conference League would retain their current names, but would be transformed into two more groups of 18 teams each.

In this case, there would be four relegations and ascents to the second and third categories of the new European “championship”. While only two teams would climb from the Europa League to the Super League.

The eligibility criteria for the UEFA Super League and the other two divisions are not yet clear.

In this sense, the next meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee, scheduled for the end of October, could reveal new details.
