SportsAfter the decision of the European Court of Justice, Superliga has come back to life.
A22, the company behind the new football competition, says it will be “an open system with promotions and relegation”.
“It will be played in two stages: the championship and the final stage. Our proposition is based on sporting merit and ensures circulation between different leagues. The matches will be played in the middle of the week and the Superliga will be perfectly integrated with the national championships”, says the video published on the official website of A22.
The Superliga will have 64 teams, divided into three leagues: Star, Golden and Blue. In the first and second leagues, Star and Golden, there will be 16 clubs divided into two groups of 8 teams each; in the last one, Blue, there will be four groups with eight teams, with a total of 32 clubs.
The first part of the Superliga will take place from September to April, with the return matches between teams from the same league: so 14 matches for each team. Next will be the final stages of the three leagues, which will be held separately, starting with the quarterfinals: the best four of both groups of the Star League and the best four of the Golden League qualify. In the end, the top two from each Blue League group qualify.
The quarter-finals and semi-finals will be played in a round-robin format, while the final will be a singles match, played on a neutral court.
Thus, three champions will be announced: the champions of the Star League, the Golden League and the Blue League. The bottom two of the Stars League will be relegated to the Golden League and the top two of the Golden League will be promoted to the Stars League. The same applies to relegation and relegation from these two leagues.
Each year, 20 of the 32 Blue League teams will leave the Super League and be replaced by twenty teams, selected based on the results obtained in the national championships.

SportsThe European Court of Justice has held on Thursday, December 21, starting at 9:30, the court session for the lawsuit brought by the super league regarding the rule of UEFA and FIFA in the world of football in violation of the laws.
The Court of Justice of the European Union, in fact, ruled in favor of the Super League, which had appealed the monopoly from UEFA and FIFA.
According to the ECJ, in fact, there is an abuse of dominant power by the two highest bodies of continental and world football, which exercise a monopoly.
The court pointed out during the hearing that there is an obvious abuse of dominant power by UEFA and FIFA exercising a monopoly.
According to the said court, UEFA cannot exercise a monopoly and it would be legal to create a parallel competition managed by the clubs.
The decision also adds that football competitions and the use of media are visible economic activities and must comply with competition rules and respect freedom of movement, although the economic activity of sports has some specific characteristics, such as the existence of associations that have certain regulatory and supervisory powers and powers to impose sanctions.

SportsIn the world of European football, there are high expectations about what will be the decision of the European Court of Justice regarding the Super League issue.
Today, this will be called to make a decision on the existence or not of the competition in question, conceived by several clubs initially, but now with Real Madrid and Barcelona that are keeping it alive.
The balance of Italian football is also at risk, as FIGC president Gabriele Gravina said at the end of the Federal Council:
“We will wait and evaluate the decision. We were the only federation that took a very clear position; we are completely against the Super League.”
However, the message sent to Italian clubs intending to participate in the Super League, in the event of a positive opinion from the European Court of Justice, is harsh:
“There is a federal rule, according to which those who join that world leave the federal football system. Membership remains free, but we are already thinking about the available dates for the championship.
You can imagine what would happen if we added another high competition. I have to protect the brand of Italian football and the clubs have to know what we are up against.”

LifeStyle PoliticsFormer Greek economy minister Yanis Varoufakis thinks capitalization is in decline and claims it is already dead. According to Varoufakis, we have returned to feudalism. Not the kind of feudalism left behind by the Industrial Revolution and the rise of the middle class, but a new form: “techno-feudalism”.
Feudalism is a system characterized by a hierarchical structure of land ownership and obligations, where lords granted land to vassals in exchange for military service and other duties.
According to him, now the masters are the owners of the big technology, and the users are the vassals. Vassals surrender their data in exchange for their service.
This is the death of capitalism that Varoufakis describes in his new book, Technofeudalism: What Killed Capitalism.
“My assessment, and this is a controversial hypothesis, is that capitalism has already ended,” Varoufakis asserts.
Varoufakis points to online retail giant Amazon as an example of a gentleman: he says it may look like a market, but it functions more like “a manor belonging to a man whose accumulation of wealth is based on a form of lease”.
He adds: “Every time you buy something on Amazon, 30-40% of the price goes to Mr. (Jeff) Bezos, not the market.”
Greece’s former Economy Minister is not optimistic about ‘techno-feudalism’. He believes it won’t end well.
“The exponential concentration of income in the hands of people who produce nothing but the right and opportunity to extract income from others, while the world is headed for disaster. Our technologies are a force for good and evil. And if the evil prevails, it’s our fault,” says Varoufakis, who maintains that technology is only a tool.
He sees two solutions and they are not technological, but sociopolitical. One is to end free services to break the tyranny of big tech.
“So if you’re an app, you get paid directly by the person using the app, not indirectly through advertising.”
The second is changing corporate law to make companies more democratic. He envisions a scenario where every employee at a company, especially large ones, would have a share that cannot be traded, similar to a library card given to a student. This share would not represent equality in terms of money, but would give each employee a vote in company decisions. The idea is that those who contribute significantly to the company’s success can receive more financial rewards.

“El Ney” lost the Latin American Cup with the national team and his return is scheduled for the end of June or the beginning of July. The videos that have been released from the rehabilitation session are extremely painful and show Neymar suffering. LifeStyleOur mouth looks like a warm, moist cave full of carbon dioxide and steam.
The claim that each of us swallows an average of eight spiders in our sleep during the year is so well-established that no one questions whether it is true.
However, the reality is quite different, we do not swallow spiders at all.
There are several reasons why spiders do not disturb our sleep.
First of all, we are extremely large compared to them, so they see us as just part of the landscape.
Equally important, a spider wandering around a room perceives a sleeping person as an absolutely terrifying phenomenon, because usually when we sleep we make a lot of noise when we breathe.
These sounds create vibrations that spiders are extremely sensitive to. As a result, they will try in every way to avoid us.
While you think of the horrifying image of a spider entering your mouth, consider that for a spider to end up in our mouths, some almost unbelievable things would have to happen. The chances of a spider attacking or entering your mouth, even once, are almost zero.
There are thousands of different species of spiders and very few live in our homes. The ones that weave a web in our walls are mostly small and completely harmless. Our open, wet mouths are not attractive to spiders at all. They need oxygen too, so our open mouth would seem to them like a warm, humid cave full of carbon dioxide and steam.
If this ever happens, take comfort in the knowledge that the ingested spider will pass into stomach acid and die almost immediately, with no consequences for us. In fact, we would get a little more protein,” says Bill Scheer, professor emeritus of biology and past president of the Arachnological Society of America.
Experts admit that it is possible for a spider to enter our mouth while we sleep, but the chances are so small as to be negligible. If a spider were to climb onto your face while you were sleeping, the shock of eight tiny legs would surely wake us up very quickly.
They live in nets in quiet corners or inhabit areas where people spend little time, such as basements and attics. Unless spiders in your home are a nuisance or you suffer from severe arachnophobia, entomologists recommend leaving them alone.
Spiders are very useful because they eat smaller pests that can make our lives boring.

TechnologyThe European Commission has opened a legal case against the social media platform “X”. The case marks the first ever proceeding under the DSA, which was created to create a safer online space, and further upsets the company, which has been reeling since it was acquired for $44 billion. by Elon Musk.
The move follows a request for information sent by the Commission to X in October after it received indications that the platform was spreading illegal content and disinformation, particularly terrorist and violent content in the context of the Israel-Hamas war.
As of August 2023, “X” is one of 17 platforms designated under the DSA as a “very large online platform,” which makes it subject to new, stricter rules on the distribution of illegal content, the protection of fundamental rights and public safety.
“We take any breach of our rules very seriously. And the evidence we currently have is sufficient to formally open a proceeding against X,” said Margrethe Vestager, executive vice president of the European Commission.
The EC will continue to monitor the platform’s compliance with all other obligations under the DSA and may take further action if any violations are detected.
The commission also announced that it has asked the company to cooperate in the investigation.
