Joe Biden has decided to withdraw from the race for President of the United States of America.

The American president has announced through a letter posted on “X” that he will not seek a second term at the head of the White House.

The 81-year-old writes: “It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve you as President. Although I intended to seek another term, I think it is in the best interest of my party and my country that I step down and focus only on fulfilling my obligations as President until the end of the current term.”

Joe Biden emphasized that during the week he will appear at the press conference to give more details about his decision”.

In the letter posted on the “X” social network, Biden adds that he will support Kamala Harris to replace him.

“Today I want to offer my full support to Kamala to be the candidate of our party this year. “Democrats, it’s time to unite and defeat Trump,” writes Joe Biden.
