TikTok targeted by cyber attacks, CNN account hacked

The accounts of celebrities and media on TikTok became the target of a cyber attack. TikTok did not share further details about the perpetrators of the cyberattack or how it happened.
One of the hacked accounts belonged to the news agency CNN.
“We are working closely with CNN to restore access to the account and implement new security measures to protect their account going forward,” a TikTok spokesperson said.
“We are committed to maintaining the integrity of the platform and will continue to monitor for any further inauthentic activity,” he added.CNN did not immediately respond to a BBC request for comment. TikTok said Paris Hilton’s account was also targeted but was not hacked.
