New information has emerged about a possible FIFA video game that would have nothing to do with Electronic Arts (EA).
EA Sports and FIFA announced the end of cooperation in 2022, so now the new football video games from this publisher are called EA Sports FC.
However, FIFA said that new video games will be released under its name and that negotiations with various developers are ongoing.
Back in February of this year, there were rumors that this could be the result of a deal with the 2K franchise, and now an insider named Mike Straw has shared new details.
He announced, citing sources close to the developer, that an official announcement about the partnership between FIFA and 2K will be made soon.
If this claim is true, then licensing deals were made last year and the video game is in full development.
We’ll have to wait until Summer Game Fest 2024 to find out, but there’s a good chance the partnership will be made official at that event.
