A new social network aimed at the younger population, Nospace, will be launched in June of this year, writes “Business Insider”. They call themselves “the most social social network” because they say their priority is interaction between users, rather than publishing viral content.
Nospace was created by Tiffany Zhong, who herself is a member of “Generation Z”, and as the company said, there are already 500,000 people on the waiting list.
The app will encourage users to share their thoughts on everyday things. The app is primarily based on text posts, and there is also an option for users to switch to the option to only see their friends’ posts. Each profile can be edited – account color, background and font.
“Users can be as quirky or as authentic as they want,” Zhong said. The purpose of the new social network is to show new users what it was like when MySpace and Facebook were the most popular (and pretty much the only) means of making connections and acquaintances over the Internet.
“Remember how fun the internet was before ads and algorithms? We do and we want to give it back,” reads the app’s description on the AppStore.
