Some things are better left unwritten, especially in group chats. According to the latest study, a word that should never be used is two-lettered, as it angers all the members, and that is: “Ok”.

Bustle did some research on this as well. 29% of the 150 people who participated think it “sounds bad”. It makes the recipient think too much, makes them feel like they said or did something, and upsets the sender, in general.

Some believe that if it is followed by a period, the message is even more formal, without reason. The only acceptable punctuation mark after ‘Ok’ is an exclamation point.

The prevailing theory is that parents send this word, which we won’t write once more, because we too are tired, because they have nothing else to say, or because they don’t understand that you can actually react share a message on social networks. However, they are the only ones who have the right to use it.
