The Russian President, Vladimir Putin, is used to traveling a lot and on every trip he has always been very careful about his safety. Since the start of the war against Ukraine on February 24, 2022, his fears have grown even more. For this reason, he has taken extreme precautions to reduce the possibility of any kind of assassination.
Gleb Karakulov, a former personal security officer of Putin, has revealed in an interview with the Dossier Center some of the special security measures that Putin usually takes. Among them, a phone booth and a communication device with which the President always travels abroad stand out.
Other security measures
In addition to the personal phone booth, President Putin has also taken other precautions. Terror has forced him to avoid airplanes forever, using only a special armored train to travel.
On the other hand, there is also a strict two-week quarantine process for all those who want to meet or get close to the autocrat. As Karakulov explains, Putin is so paranoid about his assassination attempts and his personal health that in October he ordered the creation of a bunker at the Russian embassy in Kazakhstan, where he could provide his own protection.
Vladimir Putin has always been very careful and meticulous with his personal security, but the invasion of Ukraine and the subsequent war have further increased his paranoia about murder.
