Yevgeny Prigozhin is alive and his bodyguard has died in his place, according to a Russian political analyst, a few hours after the funeral of the leader of the “Wagner” mercenary group, which was not attended by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.
Commenting on the absence of the Russian leader at Prigozhin’s funeral yesterday, Valery Solovey claims that the Wagner leader was not on the plane that crashed last week in Moscow.
As the British newspaper “Daily Mail” reports, the Russian analyst claims that the once-favorite chef and close ally of Putin is hiding in a foreign country for his own safety and that the powerful Kremlin leader is behind the downing of the plane last Wednesday in the Russian capital.
“Prigozin is alive and plans to take revenge on Putin after the death of his confidant and many of his close associates,” claims the Russian analyst, adding:
“He is in good health and free and will be found out within this year.”
However, it is not known in which country Prigozhin has taken refuge, Valery Soloway pointed out.
The Russian political analyst also accuses Moscow authorities of lying about finding Prigozhin’s DNA at the crash site in the Tver region.
“There was no explosion on the plane. It was shot down by a Moscow rocket.” he points out.
Dr. Soloway also stressed that the country in which Prigozhin is in exile will be revealed, but denied that he is in Africa where Wagner’s private army has many financial interests.
